AI for Enhanced Eye Diagnostics - With Researcher Lucie Huang

Research Film

Curious how AI is revolutionizing the treatment of eye diseases? Learn more about what AI can do for ophthalmology with Lucie Huang, MCML junior member and PhD student in the research group of Martin Menten, who is developing AI for sharper and faster eye scans. This means earlier diagnoses and better treatments for critical eye conditions like diabetes-related damage.

Discover how AI research is shaping our world and delivering solutions across diverse real-world problems. This video is the start of a series which is part of the project KI Trans, an initiative in collaboration with Junge Tüftler and LMU, focused on equipping teachers with the essential skills to navigate and teach about AI in schools. The project is funded by the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space as part of DATIpilot.
