This short article focuses on the current work of MCML Director Daniel Rückert and his team, who studied the suitability of AI chatbots in hospitals.

While seeing potential in certain areas, the team concluded that chatbots would currently put patients' lives at risk. To minimize this risk, the scientists developed a method to test the reliability of future chatbots.
