MCML and UnternehmerTUM Host Freddie Pre-Event
Short Recap
On September 16, 2026, MCML and UnternehmerTUM jointly hosted the Freddie Pre-Event at the Munich Urban Colab, bringing together researchers and representatives of Germany's Mittelstand. The program featured pitches on ongoing AI research at MCML, followed by moderated roundtables where participants discussed practical applications and potential collaborations.
The event aimed to connect MCML with small and medium-sized enterprises and raise awareness of the center's research and expertise. It is part of MCML's transfer mission: making cutting-edge AI research accessible to industry and fostering exchange between science, industry, and business.
In the evening, the Freddie Award ceremony took place at Munich Urban Colab. MCML was represented on the jury by Dr. Thomas Meier, Management for Collaborations at MCML.
