MCML Researchers at ECCV 2026 Workshop on Geometric Intelligence

Bridging Computer Vision and Scientific Discovery

MCML Director Daniel Cremers, PI Riccardo Marin, and Junior Member Maolin Gao are co-organizing the ECCV 2026 workshop Geometric Intelligence: From Vision to Scientific Discovery. Bringing together researchers from computer vision, machine learning, and the natural sciences, the workshop will explore how geometry can serve as a foundation for building AI systems that reason beyond visual appearance.

The workshop focuses on topics including geometric deep learning, 3D vision, physics-informed AI, geometric foundation models, and AI for scientific discovery. Through invited talks, paper presentations, and discussions, it aims to foster interdisciplinary collaboration and advance geometry-aware AI for real-world scientific challenges.
