MCML Welcomes Student Delegation From HEC Montréal
Strengthening International Academic Exchange
The Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML) recently welcomed a group of students from HEC Montréal, one of Canada's leading business schools, led by Professor Jean-François Ouellet.
The visit began with an introduction to MCML, covering its research mission, structure, and role within the German AI landscape. An open discussion session followed, with topics ranging from ethics and technology to science policy and management, as well as a comparative look at AI research in Canada and Germany.
The exchange highlighted the strong overlap between the students' academic interests and the interdisciplinary questions addressed at MCML. The visit underscores MCML's commitment to international dialogue and to engaging the next generation of researchers and practitioners in the responsible development of AI.
MCML thanks Professor Ouellet and the HEC Montréal delegation for their visit and looks forward to future exchange between the two institutions.
