New Appointment to the Bavarian AI Council
Our PI Björn Ommer Appointed Member of the Bavarian AI Council
We proudly announce that our PI Björn Ommer has been appointed as a member of the Bavarian AI Council. The AI Council was established by the Bavarian state government in 2020 and has since served as an advisory body to the state government.
Professor Ommer caused an international sensation in 2022 with the development of the diffusion model that serves as the basis for Stable Diffusion. This makes him one of the top international scientists in the field of artificial intelligence.
His expertise makes a decisive contribution to Bavaria as a high-tech location.
