MCML PI Christian Wachinger is co-organizing ShapeMI 2026, the sixth Workshop on Shape in Medical Imaging, taking place in Strasbourg, France, on September 27, 2026. The workshop is supported by MCML sponsorship and held as part of MICCAI 2026, bringing together researchers working on advanced shape analysis, geometric modeling, and geometric learning for medical imaging.
ShapeMI 2026 explores how classical shape theory and modern AI can be combined to advance computational anatomy and medical image analysis. Topics include shape processing and classification, geometric deep learning, generative shape models, shape registration and correspondence, longitudinal analysis, and multimodal integration with clinical, multiomics, and other biomedical data.
