A Four-Day Program for Early-Career Researchers

The ELLIS Unit Munich invites applications for the ELLIS Summer School on Machine Learning & Computer Vision 2026, taking place from September 15 to 18, 2026, at the TUM Garching Campus.
The four-day scientific continuing education event is aimed at early-career researchers at postgraduate level. The programme will cover current research in Computer Vision, Machine Learning, and Natural Language Processing, combining keynote lectures, invited scientific talks, poster sessions, a closing panel discussion, a masterclass on science communication, and a Tech Transfer / Startup Panel.
Confirmed speakers include MCML Director Daniel Cremers, MCML PI Björn Ommer, MCML PI Stephan Günnemann, MCML PI Hinrich Schütze, and MCML PI Zeynep Akata.
Applications are now open. Places are limited to 100 participants. The application deadline is June 30, 2026, 23:59 CET. Applicants will be notified by mid-July.
