Digdeep Podcast: How Does AI Help Us With AI Strategy, Stephan Grabmeier?
News From the Digital World by MCML PI Frauke Kreuter and Christof Horn
In this episode of #digdeep, Stephan Grabmeier explains how AI is changing strategic processes and why language models cannot make decisions.
Companies often look to new technologies such as AI for answers without first asking the crucial question of what their own future should look like. The current transformation is taking place at a historically exceptional pace and therefore requires new forms of strategic thinking beyond traditional strategy processes. Stephan Grabmeier emphasizes that while AI can support strategy development, language models are optimized for plausibility rather than genuine decision-making.
Human thinking therefore remains essential, as does the interplay of thesis and antithesis and the question of what makes brands and companies unique in an increasingly comparable world. Ultimately, the discussion focuses on the key question of what the market and society would miss if certain companies or offerings no longer existed – and what we want to leave behind for future generations.
