Gitta Kutyniok Appointed Vice President of BBAW
New Role in Berlin-Brandenburg Academy Leadership
MCML PI Gitta Kutyniok has been appointed Vice President of the Berlin-Brandenburg Academy of Sciences and Humanities (BBAW). Her term will begin on October 1, 2026.
With a history spanning 325 years, the BBAW brings together outstanding scholars and scientists from a wide range of disciplines and has counted 82 Nobel Prize winners among its members. The academy plays an important role in advancing research, fostering interdisciplinary dialogue, and addressing key scientific and societal challenges.
