Leonie Weissweiler Joins ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig as Principal Investigator

Research in Natural Language Processing and Computational Linguistics

Since April 1, Leonie Weissweiler has taken up the position of Assistant Professor of Natural Language Processing at Leipzig University and joined ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig as a Principal Investigator.

Prior to this role, she was an MCML Junior Member.

Her research focuses on the implications of large language models (LLMs) for linguistic theory and their applications in linguistic typology. At ScaDS.AI, she continues her work on interpretable, multilingual language models, with a particular emphasis on linguistic diversity and underrepresented languages.
