Exploring AI With MCML at the Bavarian State Ministry
“Lernort Staatsregierung” a Recap
For more than 30 years, the Bavarian State Center for Political Education has been organizing the “Lernort Staatsregierung” program in the Bavarian State Ministries. School classes from all types of secondary schools across Bavaria are invited to take part.
The program offers young people a personal and vivid insight into the tasks, structures, and working practices of the Bavarian state government. As part of their visit to the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and the Arts (StMWK), the MCML contributed a talk on AI. MCML Junior Members introduced students to current AI research, real-world applications, and key societal and political questions surrounding the use of AI. Around 30 students from the Q12 of Dante Gymnasium in Munich attended. MCML’s contribution highlighted the growing role of AI in science, public administration, and society, and emphasized the importance of informed and critical engagement with these technologies in a democratic context.
