MCML Workshop on Reproducibility and Scientific Computing
Advancing Reproducible Research and Scientific Computing With Modern Tools
05.10.2026 - 09.10.2026
Richard-Wagner-Straße 10, 80333 Munich
The Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML) is hosting a five-day workshop on reproducibility and scientific computing from October 5 to 9, 2026, in Munich. Organized by MCML Junior Members Martin Binder, Moritz Herrmann, and Julius Kobialka, the workshop is primarily aimed at junior MCML PhD students but is also open to researchers and students who meet the prerequisites.
The workshop provides a practical introduction to key topics in reproducible computational research, including reproducible manuscripts, high-performance computing (HPC), workflow management, containers, testing, packaging, and CI/CD. The 2026 edition also places a particular focus on the rapidly developing use of agentic AI and coding agents in scientific computing and reproducible research workflows.
During the first three days, participants will explore core concepts and tools for building reliable and reproducible research workflows. The final two days will focus on practical tutorials using coding agents for scientific computing and the creation of reproducible research artifacts.
The workshop will take place in person in Munich at Richard-Wagner-Straße 10, Room D 105.
