MCML and CReAITech unite for an inspiring PhD Workshop on AI agents in science and their ethical, legal, and social aspects (ELSA).

Join us for the PhD Workshop “AI Agents in Science: Ethical, Legal, and Social Aspects (ELSA)”, hosted by the Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML) and the Center for Responsible AI Technologies (CReAITech).

The event features a series of short pitchtalks (10-minute presentations + 5-minute Q&A) showcasing ongoing PhD research at the intersection of AI, science, and responsibility. Following the talks, participants are invited to an open networking session with snacks and drinks to exchange ideas and foster collaboration.

Pitch Talks by:

  • Prof. Sven Nyholm & Dr. Benjamin Lange (LMU | MCML)
  • Dr. Carolin Rutzmoser (HFPH | CReAITech)
  • Helen Alber (LMU | MCML)
  • Jesse de Jesus de Pinho Pinhal (LMU | MCML)
  • Anna Maria Planegger (TUM | CReAITech)

The workshop will be moderated by Thomas Meier (LMU | MCML).

Participation is open to PhD students from MCML and CReAITech as well as all other interested PhD researchers.

Seats are limited — registration follows a first-come, first-served basis.

This event is for MCML members only.
