News From the Digital World by MCML PI Frauke Kreuter and Christof Horn

Lern-Fair began as a response to the Covid-19 pandemic, connecting students with volunteer tutors to support their learning from home. It has since grown into a prominent organization with thousands of volunteers, aiming to ensure equal educational opportunities across Germany.

Elke Büdenbender, Germany’s "First Lady," has recently become its patron. Our junior member Maria Matveev, a founding member of Learn Fair, discusses the organization’s development and the role of digital tools and AI in enhancing education.
