The MCML Was Happy to Welcome the BMBF and the BayStMWK
The MCML had the privilege of hosting a delegation led by PStS Mario Brandenburg from BMBF and Amtschef Dr. Rolf-Dieter Jungk from BayStMWK. Eminent MCML researchers presented the center’s cutting-edge research across various domains. The event concluded with insightful discussions during the poster reception.
PStS Mario Brandenburg from the Federal Ministry for Education and Research (BMBF) visited the MCML on his tour covering all national AI competence centers in Germany.
From the Bavarian State Ministry for Science and Art (BayStMWKI, Amtschef Dr. Rolf-Dieter Jungk participated as well as LMU President Bernd Huber and TUM Senior Vice President Gerhard Kramer.

PStS Mario Brandenburg at MCML
We presented a vivacious firework of short talks on all areas of MCML’s mission, including fundamental research, junior scientists’ support, and transfer activities.
Our PIs Björn Ommer, Julia Schnabel, Barbara Plank, and Matthias Nießner gave insights to their latest research and presented some highlights of their research results. In addition, our talented PhD-students showcased what they are working on.
Afterwards we enjoyed one-on-one discussions with the guests at the poster reception.
We were extremely happy and proud to present what the MCML achieved already. Find below some impressions.
