MCML PI Julia Schnabel develops AI models that detect what medical imaging alone can miss — from cancer metastases to cardiovascular problems a radiologist wasn’t originally looking for. Using Cancer Foundation Models and anomaly detection trained on healthy populations, her research is bringing medicine closer to a holistic, patient-centred approach where no finding gets overlooked.
