Gauss AI Compute Grant Supports Matthias Niessner's MeshFoundation Project
The MeshFoundation Project Will Leverage the JUPITER Exascale Supercomputer to Develop a General-Purpose Foundation Model for 3D Meshes.
We are pleased to announce that MCML PI Matthias Niessner has been selected as a winner of the Gauss AI Compute Competition for his project MeshFoundation: Building a General-Purpose 3D Mesh Foundation Model via Extreme-Scale Context Transformers on JUPITER. The award provides access to the JUPITER exascale supercomputer to accelerate cutting-edge AI research.
The MeshFoundation project aims to develop a general-purpose foundation model for 3D meshes by leveraging extreme-scale context transformers. Access to JUPITER's computational resources will enable large-scale training and advance AI methods for understanding and generating complex 3D data.
