Nassir Navab Shows How Avatars Reduce Stress in Autonomous Ultrasound Exams

Our PI Nassir Navab led work showing that patients feel significantly less stress when a virtual avatar guides them during autonomous robotic ultrasound procedures. The avatar explains each step, answers questions (even in regional accents), and interacts in a more humanlike way. This approach could be especially useful in places with limited medical staff.
