Bringing together experts from all over the world at ai.Bay 2023

The MCML took part at ai.bay 2023, the Bavarian International Conference on AI, bringing together experts from all over the world to exchange knowledge and ideas on the latest developments in AI. The two directors of the MCML, Thomas Seidl and Daniel Cremers, along with other MCML Principle Investigators delivered exciting and interesting talks throughout the conference.

The ai.bay 2023 conference held in Bavaria was a success, bringing together experts from all over the world to exchange knowledge and ideas on the latest developments in AI. The event showcased new technologies and innovations from various companies and startups, providing attendees with an opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in AI and network with other professionals.

There were several talks and discussions on topics such as machine learning, natural language processing, robotics, and autonomous systems. The two directors of the MCML, Thomas Seidl and Daniel Cremers, along with other MCML Principle Investigators, such as Fabian J. Theis, Gitta Kutyniok, and Hinrich Schütze, delivered exciting and interesting talks throughout the conference.

The first day of the conference was organized as a single-session congress, dedicated to presenting and discussing the broad spectrum of AI. The sessions covered a wide range of topics, including new trends in research, AI use cases in real life, and ethical implications of the technology. On the second day, leading researchers presented their latest findings at the main scientific symposium.

The Bavarian State Minister of Science, Markus Blume, the Minister for Digital Affairs, Judith Gerlach, and the Minister of Economic Affairs, Hubert Aiwanger, together with leading representatives of the Bavarian AI Network took part at the event.

The conference was held at the Deutsches Museum in Munich at the end of February 2023, providing an exciting opportunity for the Bavarian AI community and international AI experts to share their perspectives and further expand Bavaria’s leading role in the field of AI under the Hightech Agenda Bavaria program launched by the Bavarian state government.
