Part 3: Can Ethics Ensure Trustworthy AI?

   09.07.2024

   5:30 pm - 8:30 pm

   LMU Munich, Senatssaal, Geschwister-Scholl-Platz 1, 80539 Munich

The MCML, in collaboration with the appliedAI Institute for Europe gGmbH, the Liquid Legal Institute e.V., and the TUM Think Tank, presents a three-part event series on Trustworthy AI.

The third event, "Can ethics ensure trustworthy AI?" addresses the topic of trustworthy AI from a research perspective, focusing on research in AI ethics.

It will bring together three AI ethics researchers and practitioners to discuss the current state of AI ethics in Europe:

  • What progress have ethicists already made in defining trustworthy AI?

  • What are some of the opportunities and challenges of sharing AI ethics research beyond academia?

  • What might the role of AI ethicists look like in the future to help with the development and use of trustworthy AI?

Organized by:

Benjamin Lange
JRG-Leader at MCML, LMU Munich
