Workshop
Part 4: The Ethics of AI Agents
AI Agents and the Transformation of the Modern Workplace
25.09.2025
5:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Carl Friedrich von Siemens Stiftung, Südliches Schloßrondell 23, Munich
The next "Comparing Notes on Trustworthy AI" event by the Bavarian AI Act Accelerator deals with the question, how AI agents such as advanced personal assistants are rapidly moving from concept to deployment. These autonomous systems raise important ethical and societal questions.
Hosted by: appliedAI Institute for Europe in collaboration with Munich Center for Machine Learning (MCML), Liquid Legal Institute e.V., and TUM Think Tank.
Key questions:
- How do we prevent AI agents from manipulating users?
- How do we govern AI agents that may act on behalf of individuals but impact society at large?
- What role does personalisation play, and when does it become problematic?
- How can we evaluate and regulate AI agents embedded in social, economic, and political systems?
Speakers:
- Prof. Gitta Kutyniok, LMU Munich / MCML
- Prof. Lena Kästner, Univ. Bayreuth
- Prof. Barbara Plank, LMU Munich / MCML
The discussion will be moderated by Johannes Büchs, journalist and television presenter.
