CVPR Tutorial: 3D Shape Analysis
Joint CVPR Tutorial by MCMAL and Lamarr Institute on Classical and Learning-Based Methods for 3D Shape Analysis
12.06.2025
Nashville, TN, USA
Together with Lamarr Institute, the MCML presents the CVPR tutorial 3D Shape Analysis: From Classical Optimization to Learning-Based Matching.
3D shape analysis focuses on extracting meaningful information from geometric data, with applications in autonomous driving, biomedicine, and AR/VR. The tutorial provides an overview of classical shape matching techniques, product graph approaches, learning-based correspondence methods, spectral techniques, and their real-world applications. It also discusses current challenges and outline promising directions for future research.
