Workshop
Spiking Neural Networks
Gitta Kutyniok, MCML
27.03.2025 - 28.03.2025
9:00 am - 5:00 pm
LMU Munich, Geschwister-Scholl-Platz 1, Room F107
Artificial Intelligence (AI) is revolutionizing society at an unprecedented rate, reshaping industries and redefining daily life. However, one of its most pressing global challenges is its massive energy consumption. A promising solution lies in embracing analog technologies, such as neuromorphic chips, alongside spiking neural networks—an analog counterpart to classical neural networks—offering a more energy-efficient approach to AI computation.
This workshop on Spiking Neural Networks (SNNs) in Munich, covering topics ranging from the neuroscience-inspired principles and mathematical frameworks of SNNs to their cutting-edge applications in neuromorphic engineering. The event will take place on March 27 to 28 at the LMU main building. It is part of the Bavaria-Saxony project "Next Generation AI Computing (gAIn)".
Please be aware that space is limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
