Simon Buchholz

leads the MCML Junior Research Group ‘Causality and Representations’ at TU Munich.

He and his team work at the intersection of Machine Learning and Data Science, with a focus on representation learning and causality. Their research investigates the interplay between representations, learning, and generalisation, with the aim of developing reliable machine learning methods. Funded by the DFG, the group pursues research beyond MCML’s current program while remaining closely connected to the center.
