Sitegeist Develops Robots for Infrastructure Repair

MCML PI Matthias Althoff is co-founder of the Munich-based startup Sitegeist, which is developing autonomous robotic systems for the rehabilitation of aging infrastructure. The company’s modular robots are designed to remove damaged concrete from bridges, roads, and other structures, helping address Germany’s growing renovation backlog and shortage of skilled workers.

Sitegeist has already attracted support from investor Verena Pausder and venture capital firm B2Venture. In its recent coverage, Handelsblatt highlighted the startup’s innovative approach to automating infrastructure repair through robotics and AI.
